I attended the C&G 2391-52 Inspection and Testing combined course with Able Skills. Within the week we went through all the necessary material to pass the exam without a problem, no time wasted, everything explained in the simplest way possible. Many thanks to our tutor Trevor. He's very experienced in the work field, testing and the most important teaching. Thanks to him I spent an intensive week learning a lot of new things and understanding aspects I knew but in a simpler manner.

Have completed 3 courses in electrical installation with Able skills, it's good value for money with instructors that have a lot of experience and make sure you focus on the things you need to help you pass all of the exams. Having studied predominantly on a home study course, there is so much information to sift through, but the in house weeks really help to focus you on what is most pertinent. Having just finished the 2391-52 Trevor really helped everyone in the class and made a long week bearable with good anecdotes and an experienced method to help remembering the key facts for the exams. Would highly recommend Able skills.

This was first class training. I have done many courses at able skills and I would definitely recommend it to anybody. Neil in the plastering section made me feel totally at ease and was there to answer any questions that I had. What I have found so amazing about every instructor at able skills is that they are not just a teacher of the subject but they have actually been out there and done the trade themselves. With that knowledge it’s not a surprise that everyone who attends pass and feel confident in what they are doing.

I completed a 4wk tiling course at Able Skills to further my painting, decorating and restoration business. I found the course incredibly helpful and informative, and the tutors were very knowledgable as they had long careers in the industry under their belts, they are very patient and encouraging. The room sets and bays are great for practicing as they are purposely built to not be square or level to really put you to the test. This gives you an understanding of how you would consider and factor this into your layout to aesthetically look the best in the area, and to rectify wonky windows and walls! Communication from the moment I booked the course was great, and the centre is well equipped with Rubi wet and dry cutters and tools and a good selection of tiles to work with. I really enjoyed my time there and am actively looking for work experience with a tiler in my area.

Just finished the city and guilds level 2 plumbing course with Jim. Very happy in terms of my progression throughout the course coming from knowing nothing to straight after have re-done a lot of the pipework, taps and shower in my own bathroom and kitchen. The course itself is well taught by Jim who is very precise in terms of what he requires of you and explains well how to best accomplish the task. It's a pretty intense course with a fair bit of theory and lots of practical so be prepared to be exposed to a lot of new concepts, equipment and techniques etc.
