I had a very positive experience with the installation of doorbells, smoke detectors and emergency lighting carried out by AC Kinetic - they were very professional, on time, and competitively priced, and Alexandra was particularly helpful in answering my many questions before and after the work was carried out. I would certainly use them again for any electrical work and would highly recommend.

Unfortunately, I did have a terrible experience with AC Kinetic Ltd. customer service & ended up with £80 sunk costs with no repairs done whatsoever. To be clear - this is not the engineer’s fault, but because customer service is unorganised, unaccomodating, and aggressive. Originally booked for a Wednesday morning 9:00-12:00, I explicitly said on the phone I need to leave at 12:00. The engineer did not show up until 11:20 at which point I did make it clear to both customer service on the phone as well as the engineer that I won’t be able to do the appointment. As the engineer already had arrived, we agreed to do a quick check so I can get a full quote for engineering work to be on a different day. No work was conducted, and the engineer was done after 30’ (time from engineer phone call to receipt) estimating a piece of work in the range of £400 plus additional possible work, which I was happy to do. Unfortunately, I was then asked to pay a full £80 for a minimum hour based on their terms of service sent to me via email after my booking, which I never formally accepted. I offered to pay the £80 but asked for the non-worked half hour to be used as a credit against the future work. The AC Kinetic Ltd customer service team has been incredibly unfriendly ignoring the fact that I told them several times I needed a morning booking and had to leave at 12:00, verbally confirmed. Had the engineer arrived latest 10:30 as requested there would not had been any problems. It’s been 3-4 emails with CS trying to prove that I’m the idiot totally ignoring the fact that I was willing to a significant amount of money with them (£360+ future work). AC Kinetic Ltd. is not a customer friendly company, and unless you have a law degree to review their terms of service, and clear instructions on the work, don’t go with them. The minute you’re in disagreement with them, they will fight you, show zero understanding for their own omissions, and will make sure that you lose. Congrats AC Kinetic Ltd. - take the £40, it’s all yours. Further edit: I never asked for a discount, I asked for the 30 minutes equivalent to £40 which the engineer did not do any work, but I had to pay for, to be credited towards future work. If the engineer had arrived earlier that day, as communicated, it wouldn't have been a problem. As you can see in the response by AC Kinetic Ltd., it's very aggressive, confrontational, and that's what you can expect if you work with them. For the avoidance of doubt, this only applies to Customer Service, not to the engineering team.
