Update- Just completed my practical gas training weeks at Access Training with Jimmy Adkins. The course was thorough and a real test of the knowledge gained from the theory course; it was great to put the theory into practice and to work on a range of appliances under expert supervision. Jimmy provided a well structured and rigorous training that broke down each appliance in terms of safety devices, the operation and safety testing of each appliance; always referring to (and reinforcing) the relevant requirements of Manufacturers Instructions, British Standards and Gas Safety legislation/procedures. Jimmy delivered a coherent and thorough training over two weeks with humour and a wealth of professional experience and insight. They are always friendly and happy to help, no matter what stage of understanding or learning you may be at. My practical course in particular was great. Jimmy makes the course fun and interesting, which turns learning from a drag into something you want to do. All he wants to do is help those that out there effort in and he is one great fella to have on your side to pass the course. Can’t fault him. He’s there first through the door and this week stayed on late just to help the class pass the exams.
