AVOID THIS ROGUE TRADER! Would give them zero stars if I could. The minute you try to exchange or refund an item they aggressively refuse whilst shouting insults! They are overpriced compared to other stores, as well as worse in quality and outdated in comparison! They sell reused products as new. I called Ghir electrical supplies and politely asked if I could return one incorrect cable as it has not been opened and is completely unused. A man named ‘Sat’ very rudely and bluntly stated that they do not do refunds or exchanges, regardless of the condition of the product, even if an item was faulty or damaged when it is sold. He guided me to read some small print about having to pay a re-stocking charge of 25%. I simply told him that this would be a breach in trading law, at which point he called me rude and threatened that he would be calling my electrician to tell him about me, with a view to sabotage my electrical work. Alarmingly, reading reviews online after my experience, I have found that this is not the first time this happened. Another very unhappy customer had a similar experience when they went to the Barking Road Ghir Electrical store a year ago, I suppose he was ‘rude too’, for asking for a refund! I would suggest that this retailer learn some basic decency and then have a deep look at their extremely poor customer services.

Great service. Helpful and fairly priced. Had a transformer go on my lights recently. Bought the new one from Ghir, upon recommendation from an electrician, fitted it and it blew within 3 days. It was exchanged, after a check, without fuss. Highly recommended.
