Bought the tyre and booked the appointment painlessly online for Sutton branch. Went to the the branch on time, was told there is a waiting time of one and half hour, which is rather surprising. I waited for even longer: two and half hours! Asked if this was the normal, answer was no. I think the online booking system is overbooking and needs fixes.

I used this garage to full service my car. Very polite and friendly staff with clear explanation on few additional issues that were found. Very convenient as the garage is open on weekends too. Additional benefit is that when you book online, you can spread the cost in 3 instalments without any fees. Will use them again definitely.

The service was awful. Originally I was trying to book my MOT and as soon as I got to the payment section, the whole site would crash. This happened multiple times so I gave up and tried again a few days later. The booking went through and payment said it had confirmed. I then arrived at Halfords for my MOT, when the man at reception (quite rudely) told me that all his MOTS were finished for the day and that I had not made a booking - he could not find them on the system. I then showed him my email confirmation of the date, time location and where it said payment had been taken from my card so there was nothing to be paid that day. After a few huffs, he told me he would do the MOT. As I am waiting, I get a call from the Halfords Customer Service who told me that the reason why my booking was not found originally was because no payment had been taken out of my account, despite the email confirming this and my booking. He asked me to check my online banking, which I did and, rightly so, no payment had been taken so I then had to pay for the service at the centre when I picked up my car. I explained that I had used the voucher when booking so that I got £10.00 off the service, to which he was “not sure” if I could validate this again at the centre, which was pretty ridiculous as they were the ones at fault for the situation. Thankfully, the man at the store granted me the £10.00 off still. This was simply a nuisance and not an easy experience; I would not recommend booking any service with Halfords, particularly via the website.
