Be very careful about this company and Scott Songolo. Asked for final payment to continue with the work, but left the property unnoticed with loads of undone works. He claimed he is qualified but he is not on NAPIT or any other scheme but insisted on his "qualified" status through a blurry PDF on his phone, nor is he registered anywhere else, hence he is not able to do EICR report but he claimed he could from the begining. He was dishonest throughout the whole process, claimed his company established in 2018 but it's actually only started in August 2020, and so many other contradicting words. Very good at over-promising but under-delivering or non-delivering the works, e.g. agreed to dispose of the old heaters but damaged the wooden floor and left a mess, left them at the dark corner rather than properly disposing/recycling them. Tried to convince me to rewire the whole flat and offered his service of plastering/painting/renovating afterwards. Everyday arrived late around 11am and left before 5pm, took him four days to do 2-day works, and still left the place with loads of undone works. What he's done, the quality is still questionable. Avoid this person and this company at all cost. 02 Feb 2021 update: just had another fully qualified and registered electrician to check Scott's work, and it appears that Scott installed the Consumer Unit wrongly (whether it's a genuine mistake or a sneaky way to convince me of rewiring, I don't know), and he was supposed to test the old Consumer Unit before he changed it to the new one, but he didn't. He also installed the light switch wrongly. So now I need to pay for the Consumer Unit to be reinstalled and redo most of his works while he took most of the payment but still not sending any EICR report or Electrical Installation Safety Certificate. It's just proven that Scott is not competent to do any electrician work, and he is not ethic as a business as he took payment without delivering the works. Already reported this person and company to Building Control and Trading Standards, and will take legal action to take all my money back. 4th March 2021 update: so the electrician came and fixed all the errors made in fuse box, and it turns out that the wires in my flat are perfectly fine, RCD working perfectly without any problem. So again, why Scott refused to provide safety report and EICR and said I need to rewire the whole flat, whether completely down to horrible incompetency or dishonesty to charge me extra money, this company should be closed down to avoid any other households to be put in the danger I previously in.
